I often find myself getting lost in patterns of nature, but moss is easily one of the most fascinating of all (after fur of course)! When these thick and lush textures of deep greens start to spread across surfaces, it’s hard not to see a miniature world: dense clusters of trees and shrubs sprawling across a mountainside. Nature’s beauty is so simply complicated.

The majority of my sports viewing comes second hand from my fiance, but the Olympics is something I actually tune into and really enjoy. It is an impressive thing to see: the immensity of the facilities, the skill level of people from all over the world, the sheer GRANDEUR of it all, etc. Yesterday marked the end of the event with the closing ceremonies (including the SPICE GIRLS), but all week I was celebrating every time I sent out an etsy order or a mail art envelope: I made sure to add at least one specially selected vintage stamp from my collection: beauties from the 1976 Summer Olympic games in Montreal. What a philatelic victory! Oh and Canada won 18 medals at the London 2012 games… that ain’t too shabby of a victory either!
