taking the plunge

Hello lovelies! I missed seeing your cute faces around these parts! It is a new month, and I feel like a new me; the beginning of 2013 was quite the challenge, as you know from my last post,  so I can’t tell you how good it feels to be healthy again, back in the studio, and ready to create! Being down for the count last month made me do some serious thinking, and after a long deliberation with my beau John, some good chats with our supportive parents and a long deep look into my creative soul, I decided to quit my part-time job. Life is too short to dance around your dreams… you ought to live them; I want nothing more than to have art be my number one focus, and the only way to do that is to take the plunge. I’m part of some really exciting shows coming up this spring (I can’t wait to tell you more about them very soon), I’m working on two adorable commissions right now, and am super stoked to finally make time to draw out some imagery that has been lingering in my mind.Your readership means tons to me, but I am also fortunate to have a lot of you directly support my art practice.
