Here is a sneak peek into some of the hard work that my father and I were doing just last week, during my secret getaway weekend: milling and sanding a giant pile of gorgeous cedar wood boards.

I loved watching the saw dust float softly to the ground like snow, and I could hardly breathe in enough of that incredible smell of fresh cut cedar. Woodworking with my father brings back fond memories of childhood when we first built the cabin; it is fun to see us so many years later, still enjoying getting our hands dirty together. Having this project come to fruition is such an exciting step forward for my art business! There is still a good amount of work to be done, but when it is complete, you will see that it was worth all of the effort.
