The somewhat sterile shots of my studio are not what the space truly looks like, because to be honest, my surfaces are usually covered with books, paper scraps, paint palettes, incoming snail mail, brushes, pens, stamps and plenty of other art making materials that are scattered about or piled up. I have come to embrace the mess, especially after Uppercase Magazine told me Mess Is More. Creative residue is beautiful.
