a day in another life

Visited the local Canadian Pacific Rail Museum this past week. I love vintage, by-gone eras and kitschy Canadiana in all of its glorious forms, so of course I thoroughly enjoyed the day trip and snapped way too many photos. There is such beauty in antiquity that often makes me long for a simpler life from another time… I can easily see myself living in a small cottage with an old wooden front door, gorgeous views with lace window coverings, an old Remington typewriter for letter-writing, a Singer sewing machine to hem and make clothes, a collection of film cameras for family portraits, tins of tea and sweets on the kitchen cupboards, a crate of empty glass milk bottles to be filled at the neighbours farm, a Trans-Oceanic radio playing soft jazz tunes in the background, and a simple bathroom with embroidery, a gold framed mirror and a double tap faucet sink.
