Driving has never been all that enjoyable for me, as I usually find it to be quite time consuming or stressful amongst traffic. Perhaps this is why I have gravitated to the quieter small town lifestyle that involves more bicycling than motoring. However, there is one road that I always enjoy cruising in car, no matter what: Highway 93. Beautiful rock walls, endless forest and stunning mountains that pierce the sky make me forget about all of the troubles that usually come along with being behind the wheel.

Okay, I want to go there, but I’m having trouble finding a map showing it on the internet… guess I’ll dig out my atlas! I’ll be fairly close to British Columbia next summer, maybe I should just go there!
It is a short highway between Alberta and British Columbia. You get onto it via Highway 1 in Alberta (right near Lake Louise) and it connects to Highway 95 in BC. It is in the East Kootenays, and the Columbia Valley & Inveremere (Windermere Lake) is a MUST SEE if you are in the area. You will love it!!!! Be sure to let me know about these adventures when they ensue!
Thanks, I’m definitely going to research this!
Oh god, I miss Canada so much. These photos are making me long for the beautiful mountains of Alberta. *sighs*
I love a good drive too and how cute is your owl friend?!?
Happy day
