Seems like it has been too long since I have been able to write a proper post. It started with that bad head cold which had me down for the count, and then the laptop/water fiasco pushed me over the edge. I am happy to report that after some drying time/down time, my Mac and my little immune system have both made a full recovery. It is nice to have things feel normal again. I’ve been wanting to get out for a winter walk, take some snapshots and write this post for quite sometime… so I now find it quite ironic, that after a week of negativity, this post is finally coming to fruition. The gorgeous tags, shown above, are what inspired this little project, and they were gifted to my by the wonderful Sarah Hutchinson Burke (@thesecondmagpie) in a mail art package many months ago. I have had them tucked away for a while with intentions of doing something like some of the other little “installations” I’ve done around town like the small felt heart, secret fort and out n about trout. The plan was to hang these tags in public with hopes of lifting a few spirits, because let’s be honest, we all need a little reminder every so often about how special and amazing the world really is… so I went on a walk in the winter weather to spread some positivity.I hope these tags hanging in nature help to put a few happy smiles onto the unsuspecting faces of those who are out walking these small trails. I know that the one I’ve had hanging on my studio wall since last year, never fails to inject a bit of optimism into my day.I do hope that this post gets you in a happy mood too! It sure feels good to be back to the blog; I’ve missed you.
