Today’s framed feathers etsy listing is a stunning Bee-Eater Bird amongst a delicate background of royal purple and airy white drops. This one of a kind work of art was created using a mix of medias including watercolour, acrylic, gouache and ink on rice paper and a 5″ X 7″ canvas board.
Want to know a little bit more about the Bee Eater? These near-passerine birds eat insects, but as their same suggests feast predominantly on bees and wasps. Their richly coloured plumage, long tail feathers and fit, slender body make these birds a real pleasure to admire. As extroverted birds, they nest in colonies. They are monogamous birds and raise their young as couples and with the help of other bee-eaters in the community.

I’m sure I raved about this guy to you at the show…but just in case I didn’t, I looooove the combination of the purple background and the gold frame with his colors. Such a beauty.
And the frame in and of itself is such a win – great find!
